St. Lucie County, Florida, Launches Permit Inspection Service

Just as new construction is picking up after the economic downtown during the last few years, St. Lucie County, Florida, has launched a new building permit inspection service. The building industry is experiencing growth this year so St. Lucie County’s new service comes at a perfect time. The new system allows residents and contractors to schedule building permit inspections and view inspection results online on its “Building Inspection System” page. Not only does the system make inspection requests easier but all building permit inspections requested prior to 9:00 pm will be scheduled for the next day. The County’s “Daily Inspection Schedule” page allows users to view a list of scheduled daily inspections, the permit number, inspection type, address of the subject property, inspector’s name and the status of inspections thus providing a comprehensive source of permit information.

If you live in other parts of the United States, there are other online permit inspection sites available. On the City of Berkeley, California’s “plan check page,” you can review the status of your building permit application by application number or street address. In Cook County, Illinois, you can view the status of your application at any time online using your permit number or property index number on the “Building Permit Status Search” page. You can also check the status of your building permits and development application online on the City of Las Vegas, Nevada’s “check status” page by address, parcel number, project name or project number. The King County, Washington, Permitting and Environmental Review Department has quite an extensive website known as the “Citizen Permitting Portal” designed to search permits for such services as engineering, site development and critical areas, real estate services, building, and fire inspections including online enforcement complaints. These sites are just a few of the available building permit inspection sites which enable property owners, builders and contractors online access in order to improve and streamline the permitting process.

You can access other online permit services through our “Permits and Inspections Resources” website. You can also access other types of public records on our “Free Public Records Search Directory” including assessor records, land records, contractor licenses, and more.
